Today we experimented with different color water colors in Jell-O molds! We used pipets to squirt in the colors. It was messy but fun :) This is SCIENCE EXPERIMENT WEEK :) Today we made volcanos... it was awesome! I am SURE your preschooler will ask to do it at home, here is the website I got it from (just baking soda and vinegar) http://www.momto2poshlildivas.com/2012/01/fizz-bubble-pop-experimenting-with.html Today we continued to learn about keeping our teeth clean and healthy. Last Wednesday we soaked eggs in coke and today we brushed away the brown to make them white and shiny again. We also traced and painted teeth with toothbrushes and gave them an extra sparkle ;) We are talking about dental health this week. We learned how to take care of our teeth, and have started thinking about what is good for them and what is not good for them. As a science experiment we have soaked teeth (boiled eggs) in Coke to see what will happen... At activity time we played a game that filled our mouths with marshmallow teeth!!! Wishing you all a wonderful Valentine's Day! We had a great party --- Zoo Bingo, Ice Cream Sundaes, and passing out Valentines. We had a lot of fun celebrating my birthday today. We had a special fruit treat with breakfast and made brownies for snack time! We also practiced counting to 25... I wonder why ;) We are very excited for Valentine's Day tomorrow. Don't forget it is our ice cream party. We haven't had many ice cream toppings come in, so if you have some at home send them in! Today we walked to the post office. It was a beautiful sunny day! At the post office we bought stamps, got a tour of the back room, saw a mail car and mailed our cards!!! Today we got a letter and pictures from a preschool class in Honduras! We learned many things about them, and wrote them a letter back. We are excited to be their pen pals and learn more about them :) |
