We did it!  We had at least one guest reader for every day in March.  Thank you to all who came to read and especially those who shared a special talent with us :)  We LOVE reading :)

Today we had a special guest reader,  Dr. MacDonald came from CMU (Miss Reeds' old teacher) with a book and an activity.  We got to play with Oobleck :)  It was super cool, and messy too :)

Although we had a half day today, we sure fit a lot in.  We celebrated St. Patrick's day by painting shamrocks and making leprechaun hats.  Lucky the Leprechaun left us magic beans that grew into suckers, and magic powder that turned to pudding!

We also had an awesome guest reader today.  Miss Reeds' friend Steve the tree climber came in.  He read "A Tree Named Steve" and climbed a tree for us.  It was super cool!

Ooh, and it was sunglasses day!!!

Today we talked about being a paleontologist and digging up dinosaur bones.  We made really cook dinosaur skeletons with salt and water colors !

Check out some action shots:

Last week each student made a Me-O-Sauraus.  We traced their body on newsprint and turned them into a dinosaur.  Then they colored and painted them to make them look awesome!
