Parents -- Some important papers went home in backpacks this weekend (newsletter, lunch menu, field trip permission slip). Please make sure you take a look and mark upcoming events.
Also -- Rest blankets went home to be washed and returned Monday.
We finally did some painting Thursday (kids have been asking about it all week). Check out our masterpieces!!!
There was some creative building going on today... See pictures below!
One of our student's job is to provide a quote for the webiste. Today it was Lilly's Job.
Q: Lilly what are you playing?
A: (Lilly) I played in the ktichen. We are making a cake. Ice cream cake. It has broccoli, lettuce, pear, and sauce. We like chocolate cake.
We officially have our new parapro! Mrs. Laurie Kohn will be in our classroom for the rest of the year.
Today we learned how to cut, and made our first work of art! Construction paper mosaics!
Today we had some pirates in our classroom! They were fixing ships, making phone calls, and collecting treasure :)
We have had a great first week of school! I think I wore your preschoolers out because we had a lot who slept all afternoon! Remember - No school on FRIDAYS!
Today one of our work jobs was to cover our names in stickers! We had lots of fun and used lots of stickers :) Some of us will have to finish ours tomorrow. We also had some fun in the sensory table with RICE!
My favorite quotes of the day:
"Mom had to drive through the frog today" - Emma
"I love to color pictures for mom" -Devin
We had two friends missing mom at rest time, so I promised to put a picture on the computer so they could see. Still full of smiles :)
Happy First Day of Preschool! I am updating this as all your children are sleeping like little angels (they are all at least lying on cots!). We have had a great day so far. Below are some pictures and a few quotes from your kids.
What did you play with today?
"I played with a doll in the stroller." Lilly
"Cookin place, making things." Emma
"Pretty much all blocks and trucks." Tanner
Check out a few pictures of our classroom. It is ready, and now just needs to be filled with preschoolers :)
